Job Summary

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates good knowledge of specifics of the Statements of Work (SOWs) for assigned projects
  • Manages projects in partnership with Account Exec across multiple disciplines in general business and enterprise accounts.
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project
  • Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties and scope of authority.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
  • Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve issues.
  • Required to effectively manage and coordinate several projects concurrently.
  • Administers project data in office systems ( and Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Participates in PMO activities, including the development of processes, standards and templates.
  • Inputs data for forecast monthly
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven ability to work with project team members, account teams, and customers to coordinate activities related to Mainline Services projects.
  • Adhere to Project Management standards and procedures for managing large, complex projects.
  • Following PMI lifecycle management, develop project plans, lead project kick off, planning and status meetings. Lead all activities required for the effective management of projects.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and negotiations skills.
  • Strong communication skills required to manage and interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive work efforts for resources not under your direct supervision.
  • Effectively organize, manage and track issues to resolution.
  • Ability to identify, communicate and manage risks.
  • Proven ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.

Education and/or Experience

  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred or working toward PMP
  • Minimum of three years of experience managing information technology projects with a focus on infrastructure and professional services ideally to external customers.
  • Experience with large data center migrations, storage implementation and migrations.
  • Experience with IBM HW/SW platforms a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management life cycle, including Project Management Institute (PMI) PMBOK processes and best practices.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Teams and Microsoft Project.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Physical environmental factors of this position include those found in typical business office environment or home office environment.
  • Requires use of general office equipment and personal computer equipment.
  • Ability to travel. Various means of travel may be required, including auto and air travel. This position requires travel: Rarely
  • May be required to work irregular schedules including but not limited to as applicable: Nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and/or overtime.
